- An eligibility form must be completed
- Fax the form along with the MD note to 201-854-5710 or you can walk it over to Occ Health.
- Your ESL can be used in hourly increments.
- If you are going to be out over 3 days (covid etc.) then you will need to contact Sedgwick.

STAFFING
Over the past couple of months, we have meet with HMH on several grievances that were filed on behalf of members whose contract rights were violated. Some of these grievances were upheld which resulted in back pay and disciplines being removed from members records along with health & safety issues being addressed. If you feel that a contract violation has occurred, please reach out so that we may investigate the issue and file a grievance on your behalf if warranted. The grievance/arbitration procedure is outlined in Article 8 of the collective bargaining agreement.
A class action grievance was filed back in July for Palisades failure to follow staffing guidelines and for their failure to have ANMs and Nurse manager to take assignment when the ratios are not met. As we continue to work with HMH to find a resolution to the grievance the arbitration date has been set for May 12. Please let us know when you are having issues with the staffing ratios and please continue to fill out the short staffing forms as we need them for any grievance that is filed.
HPAE LOCAL 5138 SOUTHERN OCEAN MEDICAL CENTER BARGAIINING – TARA ROJO PRESIDENT
I wanted to give a quick update that our sister HPAE Local down south has started negotiations with HMH/Southern Ocean Medical Center. They are fighting for staffing ratios and better wages. We stand united with them in their fight against Hackensack Meridian.
INCENTIVE BONUS
As per your contract we have the upcoming incentive bonus for this year. That is usually paid in April, but we are waiting on confirmation along with the percentage. Once we receive the confirmation, we will let all members know.
WEINGARTEN RIGHTS
