Local 5004 members have chosen and been informed of their representatives for the negotiation team. Members of the team represent all nursing units and shifts.

Governor Murphy's budget address had glimmers of hope, yet there is also much more to be done to retain our healthcare workers who continue to migrate out of the profession.

This workshop reviews risk factors and the unprecedented extent of workplace violence in healthcare. Participants will gain information to identify risks, strategies to respond to violent episodes, and the elements of effective violence prevention programs in their facilities.

Members of a union representing nurses at Cornerstone Behavioral Health Hospital in Berkeley Heights appear to be stalled in negotiations with the county to add more staff onto their contract.
The Nominations/Election Committee announces that there are five Local 5131 officer positions that are up for election this year. Nominations for these positions are currently being accepted by the nomination committee.
The NLRB has begun to distribute the money to members eligible for a portion of the settlement.
