Local 5107 EVVNA/VNA Contract Negotiations Update, October 14, 2024
We met with management and gave our economic proposals for fair and competitive wages. We discussed inflation, cost of living increases, the shortage of nurses and the need to be competitive in order to recruit and retain nurses.

CarePoint is very close to a final deal with Hudson Regional Hospital. It will create a four-hospital system, with CarePoint Running Christ & Hoboken and Hudson Regional running HRH & Bayonne Medical Center. There will be more updates next week.
Unionized Nurses reach a Settlement that sets enforceable Safe Staffing Ratios at University Hospital
HPAE Local 5089, representing nurses at University Hospital in Newark, have reached a tentative agreement with the employer.

On October 7, 2024, we met with University Hospital management to continue negotiating over our contract and we are pleased to announce that we have settled!
