This notice is coming to you on behalf of the Local 5094 Nomination and Election Committee. The following members will be running for Local 5094 Co-President (Rutgers New Brunswick/Piscataway/Stratford/Camden, Rowan).
I wanted to take a moment to update you on the implementation of Project Impact and the ongoing effects bargaining around it.
Our Solidarity Rally was a success! The corner of Bergen and 12th Ave was painted all union red as HPAE members gathered to show support for each other.
We met with the hospital to continue negotiating over our contract, which expires at the end of the month. Management proposed 1.45% across-the-board increases for Staff Nurses and 2.75% increases for other, non-bedside nurses.
We hope everyone enjoyed their summer vacations. We have been working on several issues that have been brought to our attention and we also have some new announcements in this update that we will be sharing.
