Last night (1/28), we had our final bargaining session with management. We reached a Final Agreement with real improvements in Wages, Benefits, Safety, and Staffing.
Our Union has also filed an unfair labor practice charge with the National Labor Relations Board over Management's unlawful actions, including their bad-faith bargaining and failure to provide any information.
Last week, Management sent a 30-day layoff notice covering several workers in Food & Nutrition, with future layoffs across the Hospital being considered.
We resolved several key sticking points, including Per-Diems receiving the same minimum raise as FT & PT Members, increased staffing protections, RNs doing Supervisor Duties, and Weekend Make-Ups.

This pay period, deductions for the HPAE Retiree Medical Trust will begin. This is the Pension-type benefit we voted to set up in July. All Full-Time, Half-Time, and Part-Time members contribute $0.20 per hour ... towards the trust.
