The deal still needs approval from state and federal entities before the transaction is considered final. Officials said the proposed partnership would expand health care for residents in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties.
Local 5105 Sticker Day Update and Strike School!!
As many of you know, Virtua is telling nurses to remove our “Safe Staffing Saves Lives” stickers. This violates federal labor law and we will be filing a charge with the National Labor Relations Board.

Local 5094 Rutgers Bargaining Update, April 16, 2026
During this session, HPAE members on the negotiations committee presented 19 non-economic proposals to Rutgers management, with additional proposals pending.
HRH cancels NJDOH’s Heights hospital hearing with last-minute court injunction
The defendants, State of New Jersey, the NJDOH, and Acting Health Commissioner Raynard Washington, must file a written response to the order to show cause by May 14th, which the plaintiff, HUH, can oppose written opposition to by May 19th.
HPAE 5089 Rutgers Bargaining Update #2
We presented 21 proposals today including proposals on vacation scheduling, holidays, differentials, pension and retirement benefits. Rutgers asked questions, but did not provide any counter-proposals today.
