HMH agreed today to our proposal to do a Market Rate Analyses for all non-RN bargaining unit members which cover about 500 members, something we have tried to get done for several years (This is a big win).
We started bargaining last Friday over our request submitted in June for a labor market rate adjustment for all. HMH made a proposal that dealt with a new wage scale for RNs only. We are reviewing that proposal.
You acted, got involved, signed the petition demanding a fair wage and you were heard. HMH has finally agreed to meet with us to bargain for a fair competitive wage for all.
This is a victory for our union members, who stood up to HMH's attempts to undermine their union rights. Bargaining is a protected right under labor law, which a Judge and the NLRB have affirmed.

It’s important you attend one of the meetings for an update on discussions with HMH pertaining to raises, incentive bonus, market rate adjustments and retention bonus and what the next steps are in this process.
Management offered the same 3% across the board that non-union employees will receive; they proposed this to replace our guaranteed contractual 2% across the board increase.
