We have received protests that challenge the election of the TECH Co-President. The RN Co-President election and 3 Vice President were not challenged. We will be investigating the protests and will render a decision as soon as possible.
The Local 5103 Nomination and Election Committee has completed Local 5103 Officer Elections. The American Arbitration Association, a national recognized neutral organization, mailed and counted all the ballots.
Ballots for Local 5103 Officer Elections have been mailed out. ONLY members of the Technical Unit should have received ballots since only the Co-President of Technical Unit position is contested.

The Nominations/Election Committee announces that there are five Local 5103 officer positions that are up for election this year. Nominations for these positions are currently being accepted by the nomination committee.

A number of coalition locals around the country are continuing to engage in tough bargaining with the Red Cross. The coalition steering committee has made the decision to extend the current contract through November 9th
Our members voted to ratify both the national and local tentative agreements that included an 8% raise over three years, better healthcare coverage and no givebacks on travel time, mileage, and guaranteed hours.
Because of the AMAZING work you all did over the past two weeks and the incredible turnout for our session on October 1st, management heard your voices loud and clear.
Late last week, our coalition brothers and sisters agreed to extend the contract for 12 days. We did this to make sure that we lock in the raises in the National Addendum retroactively.
