We would like to thank each and every one of you for all of your support throughout these negotiations, and for coming out for our ratification meetings. It has been a long and emotional process for everyone.
We are pleased to announce that the Local 5131 membership has ratified our new contract agreement.
We are pleased to inform you that on May 31, 2025, we officially reached a tentative agreement with Inspira on our new contract!
As of today, 5/29, we have a few new tentative agreements for your review. See below. After last week’s historic strike vote, we have seen more movement at the table related to the simpler proposals.
Inspira Health Network would be hardest hit if Health Professionals and Allied Employees, the state’s largest nurses union, choose to go on strike.
The thousands of HPAE nurses and healthcare professionals represented in Bergen, Salem, Cumberland and Gloucester Counties have made clear they will not accept contracts that do not include enforceable nurse-to-patient ratios.
In response to Inspira’s inability to meet our demands, 83% of Inspira HPAE members participated in our HPAE strike vote, and 98% of voters authorized a strike!
