The American Arbitration Association (AAA) has conducted and tallied the Election of officers for Local 5147. Thank you to all the members who participated in this important democratic process. Thank you to those members who ran as candidates.
This year we have several contested elections for Local 5147 officers. Ballots will be mailed out this week to Local 5147 membership by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) .
The Nominations/Election Committee announces that there are six (6) officer positions that are up for election this year. The officer positions are President, three Vice Presidents, Secretary and Treasurer.
Over the course of the past year or so, we have been pressuring management to increase wages for all of our titles, as the current rates have fallen below market in many cases.
Your local leadership is happy to announce that we have come to an agreement with management on a Retention Bonus for all FT and PT RN’s. The bonus will be $3/hr. for all hours WORKED.

This is in response to recent rumors regarding HPAE not allowing Dr Kifaieh& Hudson Regional to give raises to members of our union. The union has not been approached by Dr Kifaieh or anyone from management regarding raises.
