Contract Expires While Management Goes Home

After weeks of delays, management goes to bed while our contract expires. Sleeping before even putting something as basic as our wage proposal on the table.

The Union Contract expired at 7 am this morning. We will not extend it in response to management’s inaction.

While our contract has expired, its protections are in full force. We still have union representation. And we continue to work and get paid for our scheduled shifts. We will still have access to our grievance procedure, and we can negotiate resolutions to any violations of our contract in place of arbitration.

Hackensack cannot make unilateral changes and must continue to negotiate.
