Local 5094 Special Nominations and Election: Co-President of Rutgers New Brunswick/Piscataway/Stratford/Camden campuses and Rowan University

NOTICE OF 2018 SPECIAL NOMINATIONS AND ELECTION OF HPAE LOCAL 5094

The Nominations and Election Committee announces that there is an open officer position, Co-President of Rutgers New Brunswick/Piscataway/Stratford/Camden campuses and Rowan University. A copy of the job description is attached.

The nomination committee is currently accepting nominations for this position:

POSITION: Co-President Rutgers New Brunswick/Piscataway/Stratford/Camden campuses and Rowan University.

TERM OF OFFICE: Completion of Election to August 31, 2019

NOMINATIONS PROCEDURE: Candidates must obtain ten signatures from fellow union members in good standing. Attached you will find a copy of the Nomination Petition Form. This form must be complete, including all signatures, to be valid. Return the completed nomination form to HPAE Local 5094 Nominations/Elections, PO Box 119, Emerson, New Jersey, 07630. The Union office phone number is (800) 801-5005.

DO NOT PLACE A FORM IN THE UNION MAILBOX.

ELIGIBILITY: Any HPAE Local 5094 member from Rutgers New Brunswick, Piscataway, Stratford, Camden campuses and Rowan University in good standing is eligible to run for office.

NOMINATIONS DEADLINE: Nominations must be received by 1:00 p.m. on NOVEMBER 21, 2018.

A confirmation of your nomination will be sent. Please notify the Union Office if you do not receive one by NOVEMBER 21, 2018, 2:00 p.m.

OFFICER CAMPAIGN STATEMENTS: Nominees for Officer may provide a campaign statement no later than November 23, 2018. The campaign statements will be placed on the local’s website. They should be provided in electronic form to Jeffrey Ball, jball@hpae.org, (201) 262-5005, please confirm it was received

ELECTION: Ballots will be mailed out December 1, 2018 at the latest. Candidates may be present for the mailing of the ballots. Please advise the committee if you wish to be present at the mailing of the ballots when you accept your nomination. If it is an uncontested election, the committee will cast one ballot on behalf of the slate in which case no ballots will be sent.
