On April 30, HPAE union representatives attended a meeting with Rutgers upper management and Labor Relations personnel to discuss the working conditions at UBHC.

There was no scheduled bargaining session for this week. The bargaining team is back at the table on Monday, June 15th. See the attached flyer for an update from our last session and links to attend open bargaining.

Members who participate in the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) program will have a new service provider, beginning July 1, 2026. Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield will change from Horizon My Way to WEX.

The next bargaining date is on Monday, June 1.
They have made it known that most of them are out at the end of June so negotiations will not happen then. They will continue in July (after our contract has expired). It has been an obvious time filler right
Negotiations are how we make proposals and assert to management that our interests are represented in the contract. Without a bargaining process, there would be no contract to protect our rights and privileges.
Nominations for the Local 5094 AFT Convention Delegates officially closed on April 27, 2026. Following the close of the nomination period, the local has received eight (8) nominations.
