HPAE Local 5089 RNs Bargaining Update, May 22
HPAE met with UH on Wednesday, May 22nd for another bargaining session that resulted in little progress being made. Dr. Kirton, (Chief Nursing Officer), was unable to attend the session which hindered any meaningful conversations related to staffing as well as other issues that have an impact on our members’ working conditions.
As of our last session, HPAE has presented the Hospital with all of our proposals, which includes our economic package and continue to await management’s response. Furthermore, the next bargaining session has not been scheduled but if you would like more information, please feel free to contact your local union rep.
TRENTON! FULLY FUND THE HOSPITAL
Tell Trenton lawmakers to fund UH.
STOP THE PROPOSED CUTS TO OUR PERS AND HEALTH PLANS
On June 13th all the public sector unions will be in Trenton for a rally opposing the proposed bills that will reduce the PERS benefit for members who have not vested in the plan and that will shift more medical costs to all of us. Enough! Plan now for a day of lobbying and rallying. Save the date and catch our bus to Trenton!
