Local 5058/5138 Negotiations Update, April 28, 2020
On Tuesday, we presented most of our non-economic proposals. These included:
- PTO approval process for float pool.
- Language to address bullying, workplace violence and retaliation against team members.
- General health and safety issues.
- A Fair process for workers in the hospital who want to join a Union.
We also discussed hero/hazard pay: We did not receive an answer, but the Employer continues to bargain with us over this issue.
The Employer has not responded to the proposals we made in the previous sessions. HMH states they will have all of their non-economic proposals ready for us on Monday.
We expect to begin economic proposals next week.
4 negotiation dates were added for May. We meet 3 times per week starting next week.
