Notice of 2021 Nominations and Election of HPAE Local 5185 Officers

The Nominations/Election Committee announces that there are nine (9) local officer positions that are up for election this year.  They are President, Vice President of RN/Professional members, Vice President of LPN/Technical/Business Office members, Vice President of Service members, Secretary, Treasurer, Co-Grievance Chairperson RN/ Professional members, Co-Grievance Chairperson LPN/Technical/Business Office and Service members and Mobilization/Membership Coordinator. The job descriptions and duties of these officers can be found in the local’s constitution and by-laws.  The nomination/election committee is currently accepting nominations for these positions.

• Vice President of LPN/Technical/Business Office members
• Vice President of Service members
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Co-Grievance Chairperson RN/ Professional members
• Co-Grievance Chairperson LPN/Technical/Business Office and Service members
• Mobilization/Membership Coordinator

TERM OF OFFICE: January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2023

NOMINATIONS PROCEDURE: On this form, you will find a copy of the Nomination/Declaration Form.  Return completed form to HPAE Local 5185 Nominations and Elections, P.O. Box 119, Emerson, New Jersey 07630 or emailed to Localelections@hpae.org .  Union office phone number (201) 262-5005.  Candidates must confirm receipt of nomination from a committee member by the deadline.  If not confirmed, the committee cannot guarantee name to appear on ballot.

NOMINATIONS DEADLINE: Nominations must be received by 10:00 a.m on December 8, 2021

ELECTION DATE: Ballots to be mailed to all members in November. If it is an uncontested election, the committee will case one ballot on behalf of the slate in which case no ballots will be sent. Candidates may examine membership ship be present for the mailing of the ballots.  Please advise the committee if you wish to. When submitting nomination, please confirm with committee that it was received by December 8, 2021. Otherwise, the committee is not responsible for missing nominations. 

ELIGIBILITY: Any HPAE Local 5185 member in good standing is eligible to run for office. New officers must attend next HPAE new officer training.
