HPAE 5094 Rutgers Union Victory – Paycheck Updates

Union Victory!!

We are happy to report a significant win related to your paycheck. This is a report back from the meeting between HPAE and Rutgers on Friday, September 15, 2023. Despite management’s attempt to chip away at the raises we won and deserve, the HPAE Local Executive Board stood strong to make sure the employer honors our Union contract.

Rutgers agreed that:

• Everyone will be getting the 4% raise and retro.
• Everyone will get step increases, provided they have been with HPAE 5094 a day before the July 1, 2023, effective date for retroactive payment and remained in the position until all increases are paid.

This is a shared victory made possible because members immediately reported missing wages and massive payroll errors. Your participation in Union life, created the pressure to effectively move our employer to respect our Union and pay us what they promised.

We were informed by management that all HPAE 5094 bargaining union member payroll issues will be resolved by September 29, 2023.

Keep an eye on your paycheck and compensation history. Expect another update before the deadline including a way to continue to hold our employer accountable to their commitment to US, the UNION.
