Your Stolen Time

When we fight, we win! Management backed down and will be returning your stolen time and 401(k) matches. It’s important to remember that – just like the holiday bonuses – management settled without us having to wait for a judge or Arbitrator to rule. This is because of the pressure YOU put on them!

Benefits Accruals: All accruals will be returned in your first paycheck in April. We expect management to make ‘errors,’ so check your paystubs from January to make sure the correct amount is returned. If it is not, contact a union rep immediately.

401(k): The stolen 401(k) matching payments will be made in one check in mid-April. You will be able to choose to either cash the check or put it in your 401(k) account. If you put it in your 401(k), it will remain tax-free. If you cash it, it may be taxed. We recommend you put it in your 401(k).

Strike School 101: We will be going into contract negotiations soon. We have all seen how management behaves and expect a fight. April 8, we will be putting on Strike School 101 so we can be prepared to do whatever is necessary to protect our rights and win a good contract. Action Team Meeting: March 29, 5:30 PM, The Action Team will be meeting via Zoom to for an update/training/prep for strike school. All members are welcome to join. RSVP to mragsdale@hpae.org
