Local 5147 Emergency Meeting to Discuss Strike Authorization Vote: Monday, January 18
Management is demanding a three-year contract that does not address the many concerns the membership has at HRH. In addition, they only want to provide raises of 1.4%, 1.6% and 2% each year.

With your support, your Negotiating Committee has worked hard to bargain a tentative agreement with Union County on behalf of Cornerstone Behavioral Health for Registered Nurses. We were able to make a number of significant improvements.
Local 5004 Merger News, Updated January 4, 2020
HPAE has now learned that there is a stay on the proceedings for the merger until the Federal Court of New Jersey decides on the injunction request.
Local 5112 contract update: settlement reached!
The HPAE Local 5112 Executive Board is pleased to announce that on December 29th we were able to reach a settlement with Union County just in time for the expiration of our contract on December 31, 2020.

We met again with management for negotiations today - an additional session that management asked for. Unfortunately, they did not come to the table with a counter proposal on wages or other economics. This was very disappointing.

Our contract will expire on May 31, 2021. Health and Safety, Quality of Care, Recruitment and Retention, Transition and Oversight of HMH changes and Building Our Union Power are our goals.

We met again with management today for our eighth bargaining session. There was some good back and forth and the conversation was productive.

Today was our seventh negotiations session with management at HRH. Unfortunately, they are moving at a glacial pace.
Feds blocking sale of N.J. hospital to Hackensack Meridian, saying it would drive up consumer prices
The Federal Trade Commission announced Thursday it intends to block the proposed the sale of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center to Hackensack Meridian Health because the hospital chain would monopolize the Bergen County market and drive up prices.
