After months of pressure for Phoenix to meet with us, fifteen Union Nurses showed up to deliver our petition. We presented our initial proposals for Fair Wages, Safe Staffing, and Better Benefits.
The day after union Strike School, Management reached about dates to meet and negotiate. Last night, they finally agreed to two bargaining sessions on April 13 and 20.
Management continues to refuse to meet with us or provide us with the information we need to negotiate.
If 1199SEIU can't get a fair contract by April, they will be taking a strike vote alongside us. If we can't get a fair contract by the time our Contract expires, we will pick a joint strike date to strike together
Our union will be Strike-Ready when our contract expires this spring. No one wants a Strike, but Management refuses to provide information and refuses to meet to negotiate with us.
